Dear DFR Community,
On behalf of the Denver Food Rescue Board of Directors, I?m pleased to announce that we have hired Christine Alford as the next Executive Director of our organization, and leader of our community! Many of you know Christine as a former board member — or more recently the DFR Program Director — so you know that she is a talented leader and wonderful person, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her in this new capacity.
The Board of Directors selected Christine because of her depth of knowledge about Denver Food Rescue and her dedication to serving the community. Her personal life experiences will provide her with insight into the lives of those we serve that simply could not be taught or replicated in some other manner. We are excited for Christine to build upon our successes as she seeks to broaden our partnerships, increase the number of individuals and families that we serve, and identify new and exciting programming opportunities.
Turner Wyatt will continue to serve as Executive Director until May 1, when he will transition into a strategic advisor role and Christine will take on her new role in earnest. We thank Turner for his hard work and dedication to our community since its formation in 2012 and wish him luck in his future endeavors.
We hope you find this transition as exciting as we all do, and that it may only bind our community stronger together in the fight for our mission: health equity.
To reach Christine, email christine@drewg10.sg-host.com. To reach me and my fellow board members, email board@drewg10.sg-host.com.
Sincerely,
Eric Swan
Board President
