makes it easy to get wholesale priced grocery items delivered to your home. No membership fees & no delivery charges.
A social enterprise grocery delivery service – Order now!
To expand food delivery options in Denver’s northeast neighborhoods, DFR created the social enterprise Bondadosa that offers affordable grocery delivery service with no minimum order requirements, delivery fees, or membership fees.
Bondadosa supports the whole community by providing easy, affordable and reliable access to groceries and goods. Community members who are underserved by public transportation or nearby grocery stores, those who find themselves without time to go grocery shopping, and those looking for an easier way to get groceries and other goods will find AB to be a convenient, helpful alternative to conventional shopping.
Bondadosa is one of only five grocery delivery services in the nation to serve people of advanced age and people living with disabilities who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, through a USDA pilot program that authorizes SNAP as an accepted payment method. According to Denver Food Rescue, only 42 percent of people of advanced age and people living with disabilities eligible for SNAP use their benefit–one likely cause being that many are homebound and SNAP has not been allowed for food delivery payments in the past.
Customers can order groceries online or over the phone in English or Spanish and have them delivered to their homes the same day. Bondadosa has partnered with Save-A-Lot to purchase wholesale goods and pass the savings onto their customers, keeping the costs for fresh, healthy food affordable.
In addition to supporting Rocha’s full-time position, CO4F enabled the company to purchase a new fleet of delivery tricycles and 2 additional staff. Rocha hopes to expand to 10 employees within the year.
Thank you Denver for all of your support!
