Participants will roll or stroll from 9:00am-1:00pm and then enjoy a celebratory block party from 1:00-4:00pm. This is Denver Food Rescue’s keystone fundraising event of the year. We have set a goal of raising $60,000 to support our mission of increasing health equity within Denver communities by rescuing and distributing thousands of pounds of surplus produce to more than 30,000 residents at 22 ‘No Cost Grocery Programs’ around the metro area.
The Food Rescue Ride will begin at 9:00am on the grounds of York Street Yards. We will have beverages and snacks available for those registered to ride, roll, or stroll. All participants will receive a map of suggested loops – ranging from 1 mile to 30+ miles and beyond – starting and ending at York St. Yards (3833 Steele Street). We encourage individuals and teams to bike, roll, run, and walk–whatever is most FUN for you. Routes will be emailed to all participants once finalized. We hope you will share your progress, name your teams, and engage in friendly competition. After the ride, join us for a block party celebration back at York St Yards starting at 1:00pm. Enjoy food trucks, beverages, music, a silent auction, field day games, and raffle prizes.
This year’s fundraising goal is $60,000 and we are setting a sponsorship goal of $300 per rider. Would you like to attend the block party and can’t join the ride? Individual tickets will also be available. Adults & youth are $35 and children under the age of 10 are free.
