No Cost Grocery Program Partners
DFRs mission is to increase health equity with Denver neighborhoods. We achieve this by rescuing and redistributing fresh produce via our No Cost Grocery Program (NCGP). We believe that nutritious food is a right, and that a person’s health should not be determined by their race, income, or geography. NCGP’s are located in 15 under-resourced, predominantly BIPOC neighborhoods. NCGPs are co-created with community members and are located in 23 areas families frequent the most; local schools, recreation centers, and medical centers.
DFR accepts food donations from grocery stores, farms, backyard gardens, and distribution facilities and delivers all food to our NCGP partners within 2 hours of pick up. In effort to ensure that the freshest, highest quality of food makes it to these programs, DFR never accepts or stores food at our offices., To schedule a recurring or one time food donation, please contact our Operations Director, Katherine Castillo at katherine@denverfoodrescue.org. If you would like to donate fresh produce from your garden via Fresh Food Connect, please create your account at https://freshfoodconnect.org.
*If you are in need of food, below is a list of all NCGP partners with the location, date, and time you can access services. Denver Food Rescue does not offer food pantry services at our business office.
